Microsoft had added a new feature to the Photos app for Windows 10, and it’s ever so slightly creepy. The new tool, called Choose a Star, lets you upload a collection of photos and videos, then pick a particular person to focus on. To give it a try, type ‘photos’ into the search bar and launch Microsoft Photos (it’s bundled with the recent Fall Creator’s Update, but you can also download it separately from the Windows Store). Click the ‘Create’ button, select ‘Automatic video with music’ and pic

Let’s not forget there’s long been technology in a medica

Image credit: University of AlbertaIt sounds like the stuff of science fiction: an augmented reality program that can look through your skin and show doctors what’s ailing you. Thing is, it’s not really looking through your skin; instead, ProjectDR uses medical images from sources such as CT scans and lines them up with the patient’s physical body while the doctor looks at them. A little unfortunately, it doesn’t use a device like the Microsoft HoloLens; instead, ProjectDR uses a projector to di

The iPad Pro 10.5 gave us slightly thinner bezels – an iPad Pro 2018 could take it several steps further. Just a few months to waitFor now, Face ID will only make it to the next wave o

Here’s a look at one of Apple’s cars, spotted by MacCallister Higgins in October 2017. That may provide some clues into Apple’s approach to autonomous cars. If so, it’s a comparatively novel approach, and one that shows that Apple may still surprise us after all.

While the Apple HomePod made waves earlier in the week when its February 9 release date was announced, it’s now Sonos’ turn to snag some of the spotlight. The irony of setting the price of two Sonos One speakers on par with the Apple HomePod isn’t lost on Sonos.
